Mauro Zarate is happy playing for Claudio Ranieri at Inter Milan.

Zarate admits he was wary of Ranieri due to their Rome backgrounds.

He explained: "Ranieri and I have joked a little about our past as rivals. He wound me up a bit about the Rome derbies he won... I've never scored against him.

"Ranieri wants everything. He wants to fight for everything, not only for the Scudetto. And we're at Inter so it's only right.

"We're a great team and we'll fight on all fronts. The fans know that and we know that. We started off badly but we've picked ourselves up now. You'll see, we'll achieve great things."

His interviewers finished with a more light-hearted question: how many times has he been told to pass more?

"Quite a few, I must admit…"
