Former AC Milan defender Gianluca Zambrotta is urging Gigio Donnarumma and Alessio Romagnoli to stay.
Both players are in talks about new contracts with Milan.
“They will certainly need pillars to start from. One is Donnarumma, with Romagnoli," he told Tuttosport.
“Then we have to understand what happens in midfield and attack.
“The arrival of [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic has allowed an important leap in quality, even if it was only short term. In one, two or three years, I don't know. But in the short term."
