Zaha says Crystal Palace must be positive after Liverpool defeat

Wilfried Zaha says Crystal Palace must be positive after their 4-3 defeat at Liverpool.

Zaha recorded an assist for the opening goal of the afternoon against Liverpool as the visitors broke the deadlock through Andros Townsend, firing home past Alisson from close range after the Eagles winger put the cross into the box. After the match, whilst reflecting on his own performance, he insisted that the result takes away any personal pleasure.

“Yes I am happy with the assist but it makes no difference if you lose the game so even though I am happy to have provided the cross and obviously pleased Andros managed to score but at the end of the day we lost and need to put it behind us now.

“We have to take the positives, we played really well today and didn't panic thinking we were playing against a top team but tried to express ourselves. We played well against a side that are not top of the league for no reason and we showed how dangerous we are when we are performing well so need to take that into the next game."
