West Ham fullback Pablo Zabaleta says Manchester City can be happy after their 1-0 win on Wednesday.

City laboured to beat the Hammers 1-0, with the only goal coming from the penalty spot, as Liverpool were running riot in a 5-0 thrashing of Watford and Zabaleta claims too much is expected of his former club.

“Winning is enough for them," said the Argentinian. “You can't always expect City to win by three, four or five. It's a period where they've been playing so many games and it's very difficult, very tough.

“Sometimes people expect too much from City. It's going to be tough, that race with Liverpool until the end. It'll be really interesting."
