Ashley Young is poised to pen a new deal with Manchester United.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that the 29-year old winger is on the verge of agreeing to a new three-year contract with the Red Devils after an impressive season under Louis van Gaal.

It is suggested that Young, who was on the fringes at Old Trafford in the early stages of last term, will sign the deal next month.

Former Aston Villa flier Young, who is currently contracted until next summer, scored two goals and provided five assists in 26 Premier League outings last term.
