Young Man Utd defender in Tranmere loan move

Tranmere Rovers boss Les Parry has completed the loan signing of defender Scott Wootton from Manchester United. The 19 year old joins Rovers until January on an emergency loan for his second spell at the club this season.

The Birkenhead-born centre-back spent a month at Prenton Park earlier in 2010-11, making five appearances and scoring on his debut against Brighton.

Parry said: "I'm pleased to be able to bring Scott back to the club.

"He did really well for us last time and showed what a talented young player he is. With injuries to Marlon Broomes, Jermaine Grandison and Tim Cathalina he gives us extra defensive options.

"I'd like to thank Manchester United for allowing him to return to us."
