Young advises Man Utd whizkid four: They all have right attitude

Manchester United captain Ashley Young has told the club's top youngsters to keep their feet on the ground.

James Garner made his United debut in the win over Crystal Palace and Tahith Chong came on as a late substitute against Southampton on Saturday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also included Angel Gomes and Mason Greenwood in his squad for the trip to Selhurst Park and Gomes was an unused substitute against the Saints.

But Young has told all four of United's teenage talents to keep working hard if they want to stay involved in the first team picture.

"It's just been to keep their feet on the ground and keep learning and keep training hard," he told United Review.

"It's obviously a bonus for them to be with us but they've got themselves to this point and it's now for them to work hard to stay with the first team.

"For me, it's about guiding them in the right way and keeping them working as hard as they have been doing."

Young has been impressed with all four of United's youngsters and their approach to being around the first team squad.

"They've got a great attitude, every single one of them," he said. "They all want to train well, learn, talk and find things out and as a senior player when they come and ask you're there to help and guide them.

"They're great talents, that's obviously why they're with us and I'm sure if they get an opportunity on the pitch to show what they can do they'll handle the pressure of pulling on the shirt."
