Southampton defender Maya Yoshida has urged his teammates to improve enormously or face a heavy defeat next weekend.
The Saints take on Manchester United at Old Trafford on Friday night following their lacklustre 1-1 draw with 10-man Watford in their Premier League season opener on Saturday.
Regarding their upcoming clash with the Red Devils, who beat Bournemouth 3-1 on Sunday, Japan international Yoshida fears a punishing if Claude Puel's men are not at their best.
"We know how United will play, although Mourinho will have made changes," said Yoshida.
"It's not important that we are playing against Zlatan or Mourinho, it's about our club and if we play like we did against Watford we will get punished.
"If we play with more confidence like we did last season – or even better – the result will be great for us."
