Former Nigeria international Joseph Yobo has praised Kenneth Omeruo for his winning goal against Guinea.
The Chelsea defender headed home from a corner late in the second half to seal a 1-0 victory for the Super Eagles, who have now reached the last-16 stage.
He said: "In the second half, Nigeria showed more character, pressing a bit more and pushed the Guineans to the back. It was a well-taken goal by Omeruo, he moved very well and headed well. Everything he combined for the goal was good.
"He (Omeruo) played with me and it's expected of him. He is very experienced now and it's good to see that he is holding that position and being the focal point for Nigeria, as well as taking the authority. Today (Wednesday), he scored a crucial goal for Nigeria."
