Yeung to change Birmingham owners name

Carsen Yeung is changing the name of Grandtop International Holdings to reflect their ownership of Birmingham City.

Yeung, the driving force of the investment, entertainment and sportswear business that was used to buy Blues, wants it to be known as Birmingham International Holdings.

In an announcement to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the reason was given: "In order to better reflect and benefit the company's future development, the board considers that the change of company name is in the interests of the company and its shareholders as a whole."

An EGM of Grandtop will be held to vote on a special resolution concerning the name change.
