Yaya Toure was delighted with his brace in Manchester City's Champions League win at Villarreal.
The midfielder was outstanding on the night.
Toure said: "It is fantastic. It is the first time I have scored two goals in one game but the most important thing is the result and what the team is doing and I am very happy with the result.
"Everybody is doing well and everyone is happy.
"Villarreal are a fantastic team. We know they were missing some important players but they are always difficult to play.
"The most important thing for us is winning and the team is doing well, playing every three days.
"We have worked hard on the training ground and everybody's confidence in the team is fantastic."
Toure's goals were his first of the season with the dynamic midfielder having not been required to get as far forward this term due to the form of others in the free-scoring City side.
The 28-year-old added: "I am not a striker, I am a midfielder. If the boss puts me more up front I have to do the job.
"I was lucky to be in good positions to score the goals."
