Yaya Toure backing Man City: But Liverpool scarily good

Former Manchester City captain Yaya Toure is impressed by Premier League leaders Liverpool.

However, he insists City will still successfully defend their title this season.

He told Sky Sports: "Pep is going to try and win the treble or the quadruple.

"The big question has been for City, if they win the league, will it also be the Champions League, the FA Cup or the League Cup?

"But I think this season he will go for all of them. He has a big squad or talented and young players.

"But if he had the choice, I think the Champions League is the bigger one.

"Maybe the League Cup and the FA Cup could be distracting because at this moment in time the Champions League is the big target for the club."

Toure continued: "It is far more difficult to win a treble or a quadruple in England than in Spain.

"In La Liga you have the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona, who are winning the league and the cups and the champions league consistently, but in the Premier League the physicality is so high and it is the toughest league in the world.

"I hope Pep can do it with City. It won't be easy because Liverpool are currently looking scarily good but let's believe."
