Xavi pleased as Barcelona hit Pumas for six

Barcelona coach Xavi was left delighted with their 6-0 Joan Gamper Trophy victory over Pumas.

Robert Lewandowski scored twice, with Pedri, Ousmane Dembele, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Frenkie de Jong also on the scoresheet.

Xav said, "It has been good all round, especially seeing the excited fans. The team gave a good image, we started with intensity and effectiveness and the game entered into a relaxed dynamic. We've had a good preseason, this is the way.

"The sensations are good.

“We have to ensure that the 90 minutes are like the first. Play like at the beginning. It is understood that it is a friendly. That is why we want to double positions and a broad squad.

"I want to pass on to the players what I experienced as a coach."
