Wycombe Wanderers striker Adebayo Akinfenwa is dreaming of a fourth-round FA Cup tie at his boyhood club Liverpool.
A couple of years ago, the 34-year-old striker nicknamed 'The Beast', scored for Wimbledon against the Reds, but his dreams of forcing a cup replay at Anfield were undone by a laterSteven Gerrard free-kick.
On Saturday, Akinfenwa helped his side progress to the fourth round of the competition by scoring a winner in the 2-1 win over seventh-tier side Stourbridge.
However, the Reds have been forced to play a replay at Home Park by League Two side Plymouth Argyle after drawing 0-0 at Anfield on Sunday.
"Liverpool at Anfield," said Akinfenwa when asked about his fourth-round preference.
"Stevie G is the one who came in with the free-kick and stopped me playing at Anfield, so I wouldn't mind a crack at them, my boyhood team.
"I scored once against them and would like a chance to get another.
"We want a big team. They won't be used to how we play. But then again they are the elite for a reason.
"Whoever we play we will be the underdogs but we will give a good account of ourselves. We want to feel how Stourbridge felt."
