Espanyol's deal for Wu Lei is already proving a big hit in China.

Wu Lei plyed just 12 minutes in his side's 2-2 draw away Villarreal, yet his impact at the Catalan side has already been monumental.

In Sunday's early kick-off, 40 million people in China watched the forward make his debut against Villarreal, compared to just 177,000 in Spain.

In comparison, Wednesday night's Clasico at the Camp Nou, attracted 10 million viewers.

It should be remembered that the 27-year-old's presentation reached 350 million people in China, too.
