Ian Wright believes that Wes Morgan is a better Premier League captain than Steven Gerrard.
The Match of the Day pundit was speaking with Alan Shearer about leadership at Premier League teams over the years.
And he believes that Leicester's Morgan is the better skipper as he led his team to the Premier League title, which Gerrard failed to do.
Wright said on a Match of the Day Top 10 podcast: "Some people would say 'Wes Morgan above Steven Gerrard? Hang on a minute'.
"But as footballers, Wes Morgan won a Premier League title."
Wright went on to say: "With a Leicester side no one expected. The fact is Steven Gerrard nearly did it. He nearly led Liverpool to it.
"But Wes Morgan with the team he had and the way Leicester did it. It's a miracle. It's the miracle of the Premier League, with journeymen and people we didn't know.
"Obviously Kante and Mahrez, they came out of the blue, Vardy. And then he (Morgan) had to keep them going through that season."
But Shearer was unimpressed.
"Can I just check what's in there?" he said, referring to Wright's cup on the table.
"What's he drinking?"
