Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan says Thomas Tuchel will be a success with Bayern Munich - if given time.
Gundoagan was speaking at City's Champions League presser on Tuesday.
He said: “I can't talk much about them in all honesty, I don't know what's happening internally and around the club.
“All I know is Bayern Munich are the biggest club in Germany and every year they're ambitious and play for everything.
“Of course you can get knocked out of the cup sometimes, but the expectation is so high because they've done amazingly in the last decade and more.
“It shows how ambitious they are, same for my national team colleagues, I know their mentality and dedication.
“I expect them tomorrow in their best version. Tomorrow they will try to be one of the best in Europe and I have to say I'm a big fan of Thomas Tuchel, too,
“I had him at Dortmund and I understand sometimes being in the job isn't always easy but if he's given enough time you'll see their levels even if they aren't there right now consistently.
“It's a matter of time that you'll watch them and say 'Wow'."
