World Cup winner Julio Olarticoechea says it's wrong to compare Diego Maradona with Barcelona captain Lionel Messi.

Olarticoechea won the 1986 World Cup alongside Maradona in Mexico.

He said, "They are different leaders, Maradona had a plus as a captain as a personality, on the other hand Messi is quieter.

"We cannot ask from Leo what we saw in Diego, because they are different characters."

Olarticoechea also believes Messi's anger over his situation at Barcelona can work in Argentina's favour.

"Messi is with his problems at Barcelona, so we are not going to find him in the best mood. Everything goes through his head, if he is willing, with joy. If he is well, he is the ace of sword of Argentina."
