World Cup protesters attack ITV studio

ITV were hit at all angles during last night's World Cup opener.

The Mirror reports anti-World Cup protesters appeared to hurl stones at the ITV commentary studio on Copacabana Beach.

The stones left dents in the glass that looked like bullet holes.

Host Adrian Chiles and pundits Fabio Cannavaro, Patrick Vieira and Lee Dixon calmly carried on with their commentary.

ITV's online viewing service was also hit by problems during the opening match of the World Cup.

Football fans complained that ITV Player went down during the game.
