Mexican forward Javier Hernandez has been granted a work permit, paving the way for him to complete his move to Manchester United on July 1. United last month agreed a fee with Mexican side Guadalajara for the 22-year-old before the player also completed a medical and agreed personal terms.
United had only been awaiting confirmation of his work permit to complete his transfer.
Nicknamed Chicharito, he played the second half of England's 3-1 win over Mexico at Wembley on Monday and will join United's squad on the Philadelphia leg of July's pre-season trip to the USA and Canada.
