Woodward visits Man Utd Monday training

Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward was spotted at Carrington on Monday morning.

United face Austrian side LASK Linz in the second leg of their Europa League last 16 tie on Wednesday, already leading 5-0 on aggregate from the first leg.

The game at Old Trafford is expected to see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer utilise his squad, offering fringe players the opportunity for minutes while handing key men further rest ahead of the last competition's last eight in Germany, which begins next week.

Woodward pitched up at 10:15am for talks with manager Solskjaer and his staff and to watch training as they seek to move forward with the continued rebuild, reports the Mirror.

Woodward and Solskjaer are in the process of finalising precisely who will stay and who will depart before the October 5 transfer deadline.
