Wolves are keen on Barcelona midfielder Nico Gonzalez.
Nico's future at Barça is in question, with both player and club in a dilemma about his role in the current team. Barça have an excess of midfielders in the squad and the Galician wants to have more game time in the next season to continue his growth. A loan may be the solution.
Sergi Busquets, Pedri, Gavi, Frenkie De Jong, Franck Kessie, Sergi Roberto, Miralem Pjanic and even Alex Collado - Xavi Hernandez is counting on a lot of players in the midfield, apart from Nico himself. Such a long list will make it impossible to give a regular opportunity to all of them. Whenever Busquets will be rested, Barça would have two main backups: Nico or Pjanic.
Between the two, it seems Pjanic has more of the club's faith, so long as he takes a pay cut. As such, Barça are open to all possible options with Nico and Wolverhampton have been showing interest in the midfielder, as was already indicated during the negotiations for Rúben Neves, says Sport.
