Wolves have made an offer for IFK Gothenburg midfielder Alhassan Yusuf.

The young Nigerian has confirmed the interest of Sheffield United and Wolves in recent weeks.

And SCORENigeria says Wolves have offered €7m for Yusuf. Sheffield United had been ready to pay half that amount.

Wolves' plan is to buy Yusuf before sending him on-loan to Swiss partners Grasshoppers next season.

A source close to Yusuf declared: "It's an opportunity that has been considered, we just have to wait and see when the transfer window opens around Europe."
