Wolves striker Doyle: Henry left me with sleepless nights

Wolves striker Kevin Doyle admits Thierry Henry has left him with sleepless nights.

The Republic of Ireland striker played 120 minutes in Paris as Thierry Henry's cheating hand helped William Gallas score to send France to the World Cup in South Africa.

But Wolves ace Doyle, who was rested at Chelsea last week, is now ready to heap misery on fellow strugglers Bolton.

He said: "Hopefully starting against Bolton, I can take out my frustrations. I want World Cups, defeats, Arsenal, Chelsea and Birmingham out of my system."

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy did not pick £6.5million hitman Doyle at Stamford Bridge.

The former Reading striker explained: "I had about a week of sleepless nights and I still haven't got over it.

"I know it's weird but I just sat up thinking about it over and over again.

"When the World Cup comes around next summer, I'll probably be a bit bitter. But I can't dwell on that because I have got so many important games with Wolves."
