Wolves qualify for last-16 despite Espanyol loss

Wolves have qualified for the Europa League last-16 despite losing 3-2 to Espanyol.

Matt Doherty brought the scores level after Adama Traore scored either side of a brace from Jonathan Calleri.

However, Calleri popped up again in stoppage time to secure a winner for the hosts.

It was too little too late as Wolves secured a 6-3 aggregate win.

It is the first time Wolves have progressed to the last 16 of a major European competition for the first time since the 1971-72 Uefa Cup

The last-16 draw for takes place on Friday at 12:00 GMT.
