Wolves not encouraging further bids for Norwich target Afobe

Wolves boss Kenny Jackett has confirmed that a bid from Norwich City for striker Benik Afobe has been turned down.

Jackett also insists that no future enquiries will be entertained for the former Arsenal youngster who is an integral part of the set up at Molineux.

He confirmed the news after the 3-2 defeat against QPR: "They have (made a bid) and it has been turned down and not encouraged whatsoever. We're not looking to sell our best players and within two weeks of the window closing we're looking to build.

"We don't encourage future bids. We're not looking to sell our best players.

"At the moment we're not interested, we don't want to negotiate, it was turned down flat.

Afobe was again on the scoresheet as Wolves blew a 2-0 lead against the R's.

Jackett added: "Benik has been very good and was a threat. Any conversation we had before the game was about the football."
