Wolves keeper Matt Murray injury nightmare continues as he waits on the results of a scan on his injured left knee. The shot-stopper had been out for almost a year after rupturing his patella tendon but lasted only 23 minutes on his comeback from injury in a reserve game against Birmingham.
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is hoping the results are positive, with Murray having had a torrid time with injuries in recent seasons.
"He's been for a scan on his knee but I haven't had the results of that yet," McCarthy told the Express & Star.
"There's no long term fears as far as I'm aware, but we haven't had the results yet. I'm not going to try to second guess it - let's get the results first from the experts.
"I need to speak to the physios and see what's happening, so he won't be playing tonight."
