Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo does not want to make any excuses for his side's 3-2 loss to Everton.

In a tough Premier League fixture, Wolves came up short against their rivals for a European position this season.

But Nuno does not want to blame Europa League qualifying fixtures, as he feels his team has the squad to cope with different competitions.

"The fight was there," he said to reporters.

"It has nothing to do [with the schedule]. The Premier League is tough, it is just football.

"It's been a tough schedule against very tough teams and we know the next one [against Chelsea] will be tough.

"The assessment is good [after four games] because the players have given everything they have and we want to grow in the competition."
