Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo wants to see referees do more to protect Adama Traore.
Nuno was speaking after Traore scored in Sunday's loss to Spurs, a game in which the tally for fouls committed on the winger reached 24 for the season.
"I think the referees know. They realise they should punish the tackles – just like that – to protect the players, players that have talent like Adama," said Nuno.
"It is tough to defend and opponents do what they have to do.
"But it's up to the referee to judge. If it's over and over again, it should not be allowed.
"I think all the referees know in the cases of players like this that they must act immediately to prevent an injury.
"Sometimes a tackle can cause a serious injury to the player, and that is not fair."
