Wolves legend Bull: Man Utd win incomparable

Wolves legend Steve Bull cannot put into words how he felt after his side reached the FA Cup semi final.

The newly promoted side turned in one of their best performances of the season to reach the last four of the competition.

They defeated Manchester United at home 2-1 last Friday.

Bull wrote in his column for the Express and Star: "I'm struggling to compare it to any Wolves game at the stadium during my lifetime.

"We had the play-off final in Cardiff in 2003 but this was right up there, it really was.

"The noise was absolutely scary.

"I was in pubs before the match handing out free drinks on behalf of Wolves – a fantastic gesture from the club, by the way – and they were all singing then. I knew it was going to be a special atmosphere and it certainly was.

"It reminded me of that Crystal Palace play-off game back in 1997 which was probably the noisiest I ever heard Molineux as a player."
