Wolves are being linked with a move for Bolton Wanderers rising star Finlay Lockett.
The 17-year-old left winger is a second year scholar with Bolton.
He has made five appearances for the first team so far.
And according to Football Insider, the club's financial situation means Lockett has not been offered pro terms yet.
Wolves may pounce on the situation to get Lockett on a cut price deal.
It would not be the first time they have dipped into the lower leagues for players.
They signed Rochdale defender Luke Matheson last January and then loaned him back to the club.
