Wolves are the frontrunners to sign West Bromwich Albion striker Salomon Rondon.
The Venezuelan was voted Newcastle United's player of the season after impressing on loan at St James' Park.
But uncertainty around the future of Rafa Benitez has prohibited Toon from making a move for Rondon.
And the Daily Star claims Wolves have swooped in to surpass the Magpies as favourites to sign Rondon.
Everton and West Ham United are also interested in the 29-year-old.
