Wolves eye Sporting CP star Palhinha as Gibbs-White replacement

Wolverhampton Wanderers are seeking a replacement for Morgan Gibbs-White.

The latter got into trouble after breaching lockdown protocol in recent days.

He is now being tested for COVID-19 and was told to stay away from the club's training facilities until his results come through.

The Irish Mirror suggests the situation is bad enough that Wolves are looking to Joao Palhinha as a replacement.

The Sporting Lisbon star would be another Portuguese addition to the squad, and would thrive under manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

Sporting would want £13 million for the 24-year-old. And if he arrives, Gibbs-White may find himself on the way out in the summer.
