Wolves defender Ryan Bennet believes teammate Conor Coady deserves as England call-up.

The former Liverpool man was overlooked by Gareth Southgate for the Three Lions recent Euro2020 qualifier wins over Czech Republic and Montenegro.

"I don't think there is anyone else in the country that's had the form he has from where he has come from," Bennett said.

"Us being a back three may have something to do with it. Obviously (England) have gone from a three to a four. It's something you would have to ask them. I think Conor should be in there with a shout.

"For me, playing alongside him every day and seeing what other clubs are doing I do think he deserves it and I don't think I'm the only one who thinks that.

"It's a shame it hasn't come his way yet but hopefully he can in the future."
