Wolves are confident landing Liverpool fullback Paul Konchesky.
The Birmingham Mail says Wolves are in pole position to capture the former Charlton, West Ham and Fulham defender for a fee of around £1.5 million to £2 million.
He will provide valuable competition to George Elokobi with Stephen Ward likely to be used further up the pitch.
It promises to be a busy few days for the Wolverhampton hierarchy with their pursuit of a goalkeeper set to reach a conclusion and a new one year contract to be signed by Jody Craddock.
