Wolves captain Conor Coady: Positives to draw from Liverpool defeat

Wolves captain Conor Coady is confident they can learn from defeat to Liverpool last week.

Wolves ran the champions-elect close on Thursday at Molineux.

Coady said, “They're world class, I think everybody sees that, but we wanted to stick to our game plan, and we did that. We stayed in the game, stuck with it. We always say, when we're drawing, we shouldn't get beat, but we did.

“We felt like we deserved something from the game, but when you give them space, they're going to punish you and they did. It's disappointing from our point of view, because we went toe-to-toe with them and I thought we were excellent.

“I thought we moved the ball well, we controlled it in spells and played some good stuff, so we're massively disappointed. We matched them in spells and scored a fantastic goal. I feel like we can take positives from the game."
