Wolves boss Nuno: We must heed lessons from Watford defeat

Wolves boss Nuno says they must learn from defeat to Watford.

Wolves' fine run ended in disappointing fashion as two goals in a minute from Etienne Capoue and Roberto Pereyra gave Watford the three points to move them above their opponents into seventh.

Nuno stated: "We must bounce back. We have to analyse really carefully what we did today and this week we must work harder.

“We didn't stick to our rules and tasks. As a team they were more compact, we made mistakes and allowed them to recover the ball and create situations.

“It's a bad result but the first half was a bad performance, they were better than that and achieved their goals. We didn't move it, didn't break, there was no mobility."

After three consecutive clean sheets in all competitions, Wolves' defence was pierced twice in a minute in a style which disappointed Nuno.

“First one OK, but the second is our ball and we had to take the game where we want to take it. Every goal is annoying, but we must not do it again, it's control of the game, even if we concede a goal.

“They got the second goal immediately after the first. We needed more control to manage the situations better. There was a lack of energy and many mistakes."
