Wolves boss Nuno: Early goal settled Burnley defeat

Wolves boss Nuno says they never recovered from an early goal for their 2-0 defeat to Burnley.

Conor Coady's own goal inside 90 seconds of the game at Turf Moor proved costly for Wolves who, despite having almost 70 per cent possession, could not break down a stubborn Burnley defence.

Nuno said, “I'm disappointed. I'm disappointed with the way we started the game because we started very badly. When you concede a goal so early, the game comes much harder after that.

“It's clearly something that we can avoid, something that we can be better organised in stopping, so it's disappointing in that aspect of the game.

“After we fell behind, we took a little while to settle down again, but we were able to play.

“In the second-half we started very well, we had some chances, we produced opportunities, but we didn't score.

“When we're not clinical enough to level the score, and then try to go for the win – it's difficult, and after second goal it was game over."
