Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has warned Newcastle United off his Welsh starlet Sam Vokes and winger Michael Kightly.

"I'm not worried because we won't sell them, why would we want to?" said the Wolves boss.

"You'll find the players we're talking about want to get promoted with us. If someone whispers in their ear that they can get four times as much elsewhere that would be a problem and we'd have to deal with that. But Wolves isn't a stepping stone."
