Wolves boss Lopetegui: We'll play to win against Everton

Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui says they'll play to win against relegation-threatened Everton.

Wolves host Everton knowing their Premier League status is secure.

Lopetegui said, "We have worked with a good commitment this week. On Saturday it is the last match in front of fans. They are a good opponent with good players and a good coach. A very clear way in last two or three months, fighting to survive in Premier League. They showed level against Brighton and in the early times against City. We know other teams are fighting for different things and we have to do our best.

"Fortunately we achieved our most important aim which was to avoid relegation three games from the end. Saturday is a chance for us to finish well in front of our fans. If we were fighting to get out, we would want other teams to do well.

"There are still important reasons [to win, higher places, more money] but the most important reason is the last match at home with our fans."

He added, "They have a very clear plan. They are a strong team in this kind of match. They want to compete in each match. We have to be ready. We have seen the match against Brighton. We have to be ready."
