Wolves boss Kenny Jackett says they hope to discuss new terms with Bakary Sako in January.
The 26-year-old Mali international will be a free agent next summer if nothing is sorted out and has been linked with a step up to the Premier League.
"There has been so much speculation about Sako since I came here that it goes over my head now," Jackett told the club website. "There has been a continued stream really, of information going on about him.
"He has really kept his head down, he has kept playing. Nobody really has come. He is still here. Our club are doing reasonably well, we have progressed anyway and he has been central to what we have done.
"All of your players are susceptible to clubs higher up being interested and Sako is no different, but it goes over my head anyway because there has been a lot of speculation."
