Wolfsburg GM Klaus Allofs insists Bas Dost is not for sale.
The 25-year-old was constantly linked with a moves to Newcastle United, Swansea City and Southampton in the summer after failing to find his feet in the Bundesliga.
"We know what Bas Dost is capable of," the Wolfsburg chief said. "We know he has the desire to play regularly but he has to be patient now.
"His time will come. Things do not happen in the blink of an eye, that is for sure.
"We do not want to sell Bas Dost. There are no selling tactics.
"I still think he is able to be a regular goalscorer in the Bundesliga in the long run."
