Pedro believes Antonio Conte can restore Chelsea's status as one of the Premier League's top clubs.

The Blues endured a disappointing campaign in 2015/16 by finishing 10th on the table, having won the title the previous season under Jose Mourinho.

With Italy boss Antonio Conte now set to take the reins at Stamford Bridge, Spanish winger Pedro is looking for things to return to normal in West London after he struggled for continuity following his move from Barcelona last summer.

"It was a strange season, a difficult situation. I was playing well, I scored, then everything took a negative turn," he told Mundo Deportivo.

"For me it was not easy with a different language and different culture. My teammates helped me and the fans encouraged me.

"Next year we want to return Chelsea to where it belongs. With Conte we will start from scratch."
