Chelsea legend Dennis Wise believes his former club's only real chance of finishing in the top four involves beating Tottenham in the league.

Both teams are vying for a position in the top four, along with Manchester United and Liverpool. City are the runaway league leaders, and seen as champions in all but name.

Now Wise believes Chelsea will have to get a big result against Spurs if they want to close the gap in the final weeks of the season.

He said the following on Premier League Daily on Sky Sports: "It boils down to result at Stamford Bridge, it's a really big game on April 1 against Spurs. Chelsea have got to win that.

"You won't find out [who's getting CL] until after that situation how Chelsea are going to get into a CL spot. It's a massive, massive game for Chelsea and they can only look at getting three points against Spurs."

The Blues will host Mauricio Pochettino's on April 1 at Stamford Bridge.
