Wilson back for Newcastle ahead of Burnley clash

Callum Wilson is back for Newcastle United ahead of their clash with Burnley.

The 10-goal striker has missed the Magpies' last seven games due to a hamstring injury, none of which they have won, but has trained all week along with Allan Saint-Maximin, who returned from a groin injury as a substitute in last weekend's draw with Tottenham.

Head coach Steve Bruce said: "Obviously, we've still got two days of training when we train today and tomorrow, but Callum and Allan have trained all week, so that's good news for us that they're available."

Burnley were beaten 3-2 at Southampton last weekend and Newcastle can edge within a point of the Clarets.

Although, Sean Dyche's men know they are within a win or two of safety themselves.

Bruce said: "I'm a big admirer of Dychey and what he's done.

"He plays a certain way, a certain style, he plays it his way, and it's been highly effective.

"It would be great to go and get a result there, and that would put us within a result of them, which would be good going into the last seven games of the season."
