Belgium coach Marc Wilmots has assured Chelsea he won't gamble with Eden Hazard's fitness.
Jose Mourinho had expressed his concerns over Hazard suffering from fatigue and did not want the 23-year-old featuring for Belgium from the start against Ivory Coast.
"Whether Mourinho had asked or not, I wasn't planning to play Hazard for 90 minutes," the Belgium boss told reporters.
"I was already planning to rest Hazard for a longer time. He has played so many games that he can use some rest."
He added: "I am happy with the group of players at my disposal, and Eden will be on the bench. I won't use him for more than 20 minutes."
