Willian loved being part of Chelsea win at Gerrard's Liverpool

Willian has recalled Chelsea famously beating Liverpool five years ago at Anfield.

After Demba Ba punished Steven Gerrard's slip at the end of the first half, Willian started the injury-time breakaway that sealed a 2-0 victory at Anfield five years ago.

The Brazilian attacker, 30, told The Sun: “It was a special goal. I recovered the ball in our half and we went, two of us (Willian and Fernando Torres) against the goalkeeper, so it was easy to score.

“We did a great job. It was a very positive game for us. It doesn't matter the way we played, the most important thing was the result. We parked the bus but we won the game."

After Willian had applied the finishing touch to what was a masterclass in tactics and gamesmanship, Jose Mourinho strutted down the touchline towards the Blues fans, bellowing and beating his chest in triumph.

Willian said: “When you win these kind of games, everyone is very happy inside the dressing room. The atmosphere was unbelievable.

“The fans enjoyed it a lot because it's one of the big games, to play against Liverpool. It was a very special game."
