Willian Jose ready to step in for Raul at Wolves

Willian Jose is ready to step in at Wolves for Raul Jimenez.

The Real Sociedad striker has joined on-loan with Raul out for the season with a fractured skull.

Jose said, “Raul is a player who has been making history for the club. In the last few years, he has been scoring many goals. I've followed a few games. He is an important player for the club. Now he's having a hard time with his injury, but I hope to do the same, to bring joy to the fans and the whole club."

The striker admits he's also faced new teammates Jonny and Nelson Semedo in the LaLiga.

He added: "I already know them. They are two very good players. One was at Celta Vigo and the other at Barcelona, which for me is one of the best teams in the world. He's a very good player. So, I'm happy with this opportunity I'm having, to wear this shirt and give my best.

“I'm happy because I won't find it difficult to talk to my teammates – a lot of them are Portuguese, so we speak the same language. I just hope to adapt on the pitch as soon as possible and to give joy to the fans."
