Williams admits Everton 'really hurt' by Arsenal loss

Everton central defender Ashley Williams believes his side are brutally disappointed at their effort away from home in the Premier League clash against Arsenal.

The Gunners flew out of the blocks and were 3-0 up in less than 20 minutes. Everton did put up a fight in the second half, but the game was long gone by then.

And defender Williams had plenty to say about his side's effort in the game. Everton are not in danger of relegation, but they will be hoping to avoid such one-sided defeats in future games.

"Everyone is angry and disappointed with the performance and result," said Williams.

"The manager was not happy - but none of us are.

"It hurts like any defeat but when you go down like that, 4-0 in the first half, it does really hurt."
