Wilkins: Ancelotti serious about Chelsea winning Carling Cup

Chelsea No2 Ray Wilkins insists they're taking the Carling Cup seriously, despite the prospect of fielding an inexperienced team against QPR tonight.

He said: "Carlo (Ancelotti) has come here to win trophies, whether that be the Carling Cup or the Community Shield. We have a group of winners, the manager included, and we want to win every game we play.

"That's the way we'll be and that's the way we'll finish it as well.

"I think Carlo's enjoying himself. It's a different culture to manage in England but he's enjoying working with the guys. The respect they all have for each other has been there since he walked in the door.

"We have very intelligent footballers at this club and, whichever system they're asked to play, they take it on board quickly. It's worked out through the week and a lot of hard work has gone into producing that.

"We lost against Burnley last season and we don't like losing. We want to go as far as we possibly can in this competition. It's an important competition for us."
